Programs - Cultural Access & Inclusive Arts

VSA arts of Texas supports an inclusive world view, where people with disabilities are not segregated in stand alone settings, but are empowered to become active members of the whole community. We believe that high quality art is not a luxury; it is a right for all citizens, including those with disability. All people have the power to learn through, participate in, and enjoy the arts.

We work to ensure that professional access services are provided to arts patrons and artists with disabilities in Austin and Central Texas by cultural arts and recreation organizations that are striving to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act.
