“With my bipolar disorder affecting my ability to work, and having to work through the pain of chronic arthritis, working one or two hours a day is good for me.
And while I hate being disabled, I'm slowly coming to terms with it. In 2001 I lost my job, and that's when I realized just how hard it is for a disabled person to find work. It was then that I turned to my first love - art. First drawing and then painting. I've slowly returned to the teachings my father and mother have instilled in me since I was 3. The one constant in my life, the thing that's seen me through hard times as well as the good times. My artwork. In October 2002 I began my journey with my first professional piece being in the "Beyond Boundaries" show at Imagine Art Gallery in Austin, Texas”
