I am 52 year old female... that life has given many ups and downs. The one thing that has been constant is my love to create. I love to use my hands to express my self whether in painting, sculpting or or drawing... or making bread and creating a feast in with foods. Expression clams me. When I was young I took some classes with Art and sold some of my work. I wanted to study art in college but everyone told me there are no jobs in art, discouraged I would give up and do occasional arts and crafts for friends and family, then in May  2001 was injured in an auto accident. My foot was amputated and reattached. While having to keep my foot elevated I became bored and bought some charcoals and started to sketch again. I would be unable to be as active physically as I once was. After the wreck,  I was having other problems and grieving the loss of my Independence so I picked up some painting supplies and began to paint again. I then I became ill with a inflammatory disease limiting me more. I became angry and unhappy and began to look for ways to express my self more so I returned to college in 09 where I began to study art. There I would learn to sculpt and my second sculpture was "Angels Watching Over Me". I loved how the clay took life in my hands and I began to crave that release. In 2010 I  had some of my pastels shown in the window of the High Wire Gallery in San Antonio. Showing Angels and Little Girls go Hand in Hand. As fall 2011 approaches I hope to be sculpting again in Corpus Christi Texas, where I now reside.
