VSA Texas presents our 8th Annual Holiday Art and Gift Show 2016

VSA Texas presents its 8th annual Holiday Art and Gift Show. Entrance to the show is located on 3707 Home Street, (off 38th & Guadalupe), Room 101, Austin, TX, 78705. The festive holiday art and gift show runs from November 14 to December 23, 2016. Hours are Monday - Saturday, 10am-4pm. Closed Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

Classes for young adults with disabilities ages 16-22. Learn how to tell your story through digital media!

FIRST CLASS: Saturdays, February 4, 11, 18 from 1-4 pm
Introduction to Digital Storytelling

In this class, students will be introduced to concepts of digital storytelling and receive an overview of different programs available for creating digital stories, including Voki, WordFoto, and ImageChef. Through the course, each student will create a 2-5 minute digital story. See complete class schedules and to register.

Giving Voice

This summer, Austin design leaders mentored local teen artists with disabilities. AIGA Austin and VSA Texas would love to share the results of their multi-week workshop through a Poster Show that takes you through their creative journey. The original signed posters will hang in the Laura Bush Community Library and will be available to the highest bidder.

Body Shift is a mixed ability dance project

For over 10 years, Forklift Danceworks and VSA Texas have engaged in the world of mixed-ability improvisational dance. Everyone moves in unique and different ways, and Body Shift offers dance classes for anyone to explore movement and the body. Body Shift creates a welcoming environment that empowers everyone to fully embrace dancing in their own unique way promoting the idea every Body can find enjoyment in contemporary dancing.
