Get Involved - Volunteer

VSA Texas offers a number of fun and engaging volunteer opportunities. Whether you want to learn about working with people with disabilities, or simply like participating in art activities, we can help you find a volunteer position right for you.

It’s My Story

Classes for young adults with disabilities ages 16-22. They learn how to tell their story through digital media!
Held at VSA Texas Room 101, 3710 Cedar St, Austin, TX 78705

Saturdays, February 4, 11, 18 1 - 4 pm
Introduction to Digital Storytelling

*In this class, students will be introduced to concepts of digital storytelling and receive an overview of different programs available for creating digital stories, including Voki, WordFoto, and ImageChef. Through the course, each student will create a 2-5 minute digital story.

2-3 volunteers needed. Volunteers will assist the students as they learn digital storytelling programs, providing one to one support and other duties are required. Must be 18 or older. Experience working with people with disabilities recommended.
