Development Director

Location: Austin, Texas
Reports to: Celia Hughes, Executive Director
Full time position: 30 hrs/week

Position Summary: This is a new position within the company. The Development Director (“DD”) will serve as a lead administrative manager, with direct responsibility for managing all fundraising activities, including grant development and contributions; data management and upkeep regarding donors; and written communications with donors and partners. The DD will assist the Executive Director with internal operations and financial oversight. Duties require a high degree of initiative with minimal direction, sustained professionalism and sound independent judgment.

Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions: This classification functions in a standard office environment. Ability to move up to 35 lbs. Will need to move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information via phone, computer and in person. Must be able to view data and written communications to verify documentation. Must be able to work hours that can include holidays and as needed. Ability to drive and travel as needed.
